The CaddyView V2 has pin-seeking technology, along with the option for slope and non-slope functionality

  • Patented one step "Mode-switching" Between non-slope and slope compensation distance display
  • Flagseeking and Pin-Validation technology: easily get the distance to the flagstick while ignoring subjects behind the green such as the Bush and trees. The “Pin-Validation” function adds further confirmation of the locked target
  • Magnification: 6x, range: 5 to 800 yards (5 to 250 yards to golf flag), accuracy: +/- 1 yard
  • Power source - CR2 3V battery (included),
  • Offers an IPX4 waterproof design
  • Conform to USGA, R&A rules of golf, and USGA handicap guidelines When the slope compensate distance feature is disabled
  • The display is an LCD screen with black read-outs that are clear and precise, and it weighs a mere eight ounces.

CaddyView V2 offers a 6x magnification and FlagSeeking technology to ensure you’re locked onto the pin, instead of that annoying tree behind the green. It’s also helpful for those with not-so-steady hands. It can read distances up to 800 yards away, up to 250 yards with the FlagSeeking tech, which should be plenty for most of us average Joes.

The best feature is one that you usually only find in a high-end rangefinder: slope-adjusted yardage readouts. A plastic cover-like piece on the side of the rangefinder enables the slope, and it can be removed and swapped for the non-slope version if you need to make it legal for tournament play. When the slope is enabled, the readout will give you both a true number and a slope adjusted number.

Out of the Box

In terms of setting up the Caddytek CaddyView V2 Rangefinder, you can’t get much easier. The battery is easily installed under the lens, you press the power button and presto! There’s an additional button on the top of the device to turn the FlagSeeking on and off, but other than that, the device is very point-and-shoot. The only other option to change is swapping out the slope and non-slope chips, which is a simple snap-out and snap-in. There aren’t a ton of bells and whistles here or fancy settings, so reading the manual really isn’t even necessary.
